arms

private residence. December 2020

This recalls a print I did as a 13 year old called Mother’s Arms. For the updated piece I photographed the interior of my mother’s arms, and chest, outstretched. She photographed the back of my arms. The arms come together in the piece, a thread running through and pulling them to form an embrace. Art builds on the ancestral knowledge we carry with us in our bodies and movements.
